SPELL INDEX !?
Underaged witches and wizards are not allowed to perform magic outside of school. You are also restricted from using the Unforgivables. All violators will be properly dealt with according to the Ministry of Magic guidelines for Underaged Witches and Wizards. Please be advised and well warned of the rules. - Time Travel: The act of travelling forward or backward through time, though no one knows by exactly what means; Time-turners and other objects are the only reliable means of time travel, though there are certainly other rituals and such to do so. Professor Anton Knyazyev is the foremost expert on the subject of time travel by other means.
- Unforgivables
- Unplottable: A ban that prevents an object or place from being plotted on a map; This is a very powerful and usually lasting ban, and the only likely means would be runic magic
- Wizard Space: A magical effect on objects that allows them to hold more than they appear able to, but the effects are much to complicated to write down here.
Note: Most adult spells are infact wordless, or more complicated than can be conveniently explained here. If your adult character needs to use an incantation for everything then it would likely be personalized for the wizard, since by arithmetic principle that an incantation is only a trigger for focus of magical energy. The definite exceptions to this are the unforgiveables, or anything else that has been given a definite incantation. These spells are unable to be wordlessly cast by all but the very best such as Dumbledore or Voldemort, and maybe not even by them.
Ageless Spells
- Prior Incantatem: A spell that allows one to see the last spell cast by a wand
- Unbreakable Vow: The most powerful magical contract, which is absolutely unbreakable except by death.
Remember that is a basic guideline for the level of spells, that it is possible to know a few spells a year or so above your year in one of your strong areas, but it's not likely. In the books the only present canon characters that often go beyond their years are Hermione and Harry, and that is only because Hermoine is a bloody genius and Harry excels at DADA. Below you'll soon notice that there is a place to apply for both the creation of a new spell and also for the use of a spell above your year, and we'll judge the approval of these based on your roleplaying ability and the character. So, canon characters shouldn't really be looking to use a great deal of very advanced spells because they really just don't in the books, and if your character sucks at Transfiguration then they won't be approved to use the Fountain of Wine spell in their 3rd year. Anyway, have fun with this, be creative with spells, but most of all, please be reasonable.
